High Country Mule Deer Hunts** – Archery, Rifle, or Muzzleloader in September

Chase mature mule deer in the stunning Hunter-Fryingpan Wilderness and Upper Fryingpan drainage—rugged alpine basins, timbered ridges, meadows, and canyons on public land in the White River National Forest. Fair-chase, high-country hunts with glassing, spot-and-stalk, and horseback access to remote country—ideal for September when bucks are high in the alpine, often in velvet or bachelor groups for an early-season adventure.
**Options**
- **Archery** (Sept 2–30): Velvet bucks in breathtaking high alpine—quiet stalking and patternable animals early season.
- **Rifle or Muzzleloader** (Sept, overlapping with muzzleloader dates ~Sept 12–20, 2026): Special high-country opportunities to hunt bucks with rifle or muzzleloader at the same time as archery—target velvet bucks above timberline before migration.
- Guided: 2:1 or 1:1 ratios; 7-day packages (5 full hunting days).
- Drop Camps: Self-guided with our horse packing support.
- Includes: Camp meals, wall tents, wood stoves, field care, wranglers/guides.
- Add-ons: Elk combo, non-hunters, fishing/trail rides.
